Everything changes

Well my friends, those of you who only follow me on this blog, you are the last to know.  Only 9 months on since my last post, Our decision to retire and live in Spain full time, Swap the motorhome for a mortarhome...............

Sound idyllic doesn't it.

Well less than one year on and everything has changed.

I just don't know what to say.

Sadly, on 14th July 2017, my beloved husband Iain passed away aged just 57.   Here's a video tribute from me to him.  He was loved by so many.

Iain Campbell, my confidant, my best friend, my husband - a  man of Strong Words, Softly Spoken.  I love you

My tribute to Iain

Love to you all

  1. Wendy, shocked and saddened to hear this; although we never got to meet up we followed your blog and felt an affinity as fellow travellers. Our thoughts are with you at this time, take care, love Roy & Amanda

  2. So sorry for your loss Wendy - in our thoughts and prayers - chin up

    1. /Thanks Harry, if you bump into my dad would you please tell him. I sent him an email but haven't had a reply. I don't know if he is in a fit state to reply, nor do I know if he's still alive - perhaps you might enlighten me? I might get the chance to pop in when I'm on my way south again around the end of September. It would be great to see you both again.

  3. Wendy, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. You've made a wonderful tribute to Iain, he looks like a really decent, fun person. Take care. Maggie (nomaggsrush)
